Major General W.W.H.R.R.V.M.N.D.K.B Niyangoda RWP RSP VSV USP ndu psc assumed duties as the new Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps (SLAGSC) at Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps (RHQ SLAGSC) Regimental Headquarters, Panagoda on Monday (21 August).
On his arrival, Senior Officers warmly welcomed the new Colonel Commandant at the main entrance. A Guard Turnout saluted the incoming Senior Officer. The new Colonel Commandant planted a sapling to mark his assumption of duties and placed his signature in a formal document amidst religious blessings in the presence of Regimental staff to signify the acceptance of the duties and responsibilities in the new appointment.
The day’s proceedings were concluded with the customary troop address. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of dedication, how organizational goals could be achieved by working as a group, and the importance of protecting resources.
