Major General Shiran Abeysekera, assumed office as the 1st Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Corps of Agriculture and Livestock (SLACAL) at Regimental Headquarters in Karandeniya on Monday(16).
The the new Colonel Commandant was warmly welcomed by Brigadier Bandula Liyanage, the Centre Commandant on arrival. The new Colonel Commandant placed his signature for an official document and symbolized the acceptance of the new office amidst religious observances in the presence of a few senior Officers, following COIVD 19 health guidelines.
The Director Agriculture and Livestock, Brigadier Arosha Rajapaksha, Staff officers, Commanding Officers and few Other Ranks of the Regimental centre were present at the location.
Major General Shiran Abeysekara is the Director General Financial Management of the Army Headquarters.
