New Chief Signals Officer Assumes Duties

Major General B.H.M.A Wijesinghe took over the duties as the Chief Signal Officer (CSO) on Tuesday (11).

The event included a Guard Turnout and was followed by charming religious rituals held at the Headquarters of the CSO office at the Army Cantonment, Panagoda.

Amid chanting of Seth Pirith of Buddhist monks, the new CSO lit the traditional oil lamp and signed the first official document symbolically signifying the acceptance of the new appointment in the presence of senior officers.

Later on, the CSO addressed the Staff Officers and Other Ranks of the Headquarter CSO office, explaining his policies prior to commencement of duties.
