New Chief Field Engineer Assumes Duties

Major General Nihal Amarasekara, the new Chief Field Engineer of the Sri Lanka Army assumed duties on Friday (24) at his office as the 12th Chief Field Engineer. At his new office, Major General Nihal Amarasekara attended religious observances and symbolically placed his signature for a formal document to signify the acceptance of his new appointment.

Afterwards, all senior Officers and Officers in the office congratulate him on his new appointment. He succeeds Major General Kumara Peiris who was appointed as the new Deputy Director of Defence Headquarters project at Akuregoda.
