New ATS Commandant Assumes Office

Brigadier K.T.P. De Silva RSP ndu psc of the Sri Lanka Light Infantry assumed duties as the new Commandant, Army Training School (ATS), Maduru oya on 29 February 2024 amidst religious observances and military formalities.

The incoming Commandant was greeted in a Guard Turnout salute at the entrance. Afterwards, he symbolically left his signature in an official document, signifying the acceptance of his new office after attending religious observances. He also left memories by planting a sapling inside the ATS compound.

Later, he addressed the troops and interacted with the troops during an All Ranks tea. Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks of ATS took part in the day’s event.
