Brigadier H.A.M Premarathne psc Lsc of the Sri Lanka Army Service Corps (SLASC) Regiment assumed duties as the new Commandant at the Army School of Logistics (ASL) on Friday (8 July).
On arrival, he was received by the Chief Instructor, Colonel G.T.S Silva USP QLCO Lsc ato after the incoming Commandant was saluted in a Guard Turnout at the ASL entrance. Amidst religious rites, the newly-appointed Commandant took over duties in his office after leaving his signature for a formal document. Afterwards, the Commandant sat for a group photograph along with members of the ALS staff.
Adding memories to the occasion, Brigadier H.A.M Premarathne psc Lsc planted a mango sapling in the camp premises before he talked to the troops. An all-rank tea brought the ceremony to culmination.
Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks were associated with the occasion.
