New 652 Brigade Commander Begins Duties

Colonel Anil Perera of the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) assumed duties as the 9th Commander of the 652 Brigade on 28 Aug during a simple ceremony at the 652 Brigade Headquarters in Anavilandan Kulam, Akkarayankulam.

A formal Guard Turnout at the entrance, presented by 20 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment troops greeted him. He left his signature in a formal document and symbolized the occasion.

Afterwards, the newly-appointed Brigade Commander planted a Mango sapling in the compound as a symbol of memory before he joined an all rank tea.
