The newly-appointed 61 Division's General Officer Commanding (GOC), Brigadier K.D.C.G.J Tilakaratne recently assumed duties at 61 Division Headquarters of the Security Force Headquarters - Wanni (SFHQ-W)
A formal Guard Turn Out and a Guard of Honour saluted the new GOC, 61 Division, upon his arrival at the 61 Division Headquarters premises in Vavuniya in keeping with military traditions.
Afterwards, amid religious blessings, he left his signature for an official document and symbolized the acceptance of his new office.
