Nearly 300 Jaffna Troops Replenish Blood Stocks

Nearly 300 All Ranks serving under the Security Force Headquarters-Jaffna (SFHQ-J) voluntarily donated their blood to the Blood Bank at the Jaffna Teaching Hospital on Thursday (21) in consultation with medical authorities at the Jaffna Teaching Hospital.

In response to the hospital need, Major General Ruwan Wanigasooriya, Commander, Security Forces - Jaffna got the blood donation programme, organized at the 5 Sri Lanka Army Service Corps (5 SLASC) camp inside the Palaly cantonment on a priority basis. Although the Blood Bank initially wanted blood only from a two-digit number of Jaffna soldiers, the project attracted a record near 300 soldiers who volunteered for the humanitarian need in the Jaffna Blood Bank as the blood collecting move was on.

The campaign, supported by both Officers and Other Ranks alike was coordinated by the Palaly Army Base Hospital after the need to this effect was brought to the attention of the SFHQ-Jaffna. While the donation was on, Major General Wanigasooriya, along with a few Senior Officers visited the location and spoke to the medical staff and the donors.

Members of the Jaffna Teaching Hospital Medical Staff thanked the Army for its overwhelming support to the project.url clone | SUPREME , Fullress , スニーカー発売日 抽選情報 ニュースを掲載!ナイキ ジョーダン ダンク シュプリーム SUPREME 等のファッション情報を配信! - パート 5
