Native Place of Hasalaka War Hero Salutes His Memory

Hasalaka, the native place of the 6 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) War Hero Corporal Gamini Kularatne who made the supreme sacrifice to defend his camp at Elephant Pass, paid their respects on Monday (16) at Hasalaka Gamini Kularatne statue to coincide with his 27th death anniversary.

The main commemorative ceremony of this contemporary War Hero took place at Elephant Pass on Saturday (14) with the participation of Major General Niyshshanka Ranawana, Commander, Security Forces - Kilinochchi.

Hasalaka commemorative arrangements streamlined on the direction of Major General Rukmal Dias, Commander, Security Forces - Central with the blessings given by the Commander of the Army included religious observances and wreath-laying.

The commemorative ceremony organized by troops of the 11 Division under the Security Force Headquarters - Central, was attended by Colonel J Ranahewa, Colonel Admin & Quartering and gathering of Army Officers, Other Rankers, the mother of the War Hero, relations and civilians.
