Mullaittivu Troops Undergo RBSD Training with Eastern Troops

A group of 29 soldiers of the Security Force Headquarters - Mullaittivu (SFHQ-MLT) joined 23 troops of the Security Force Headquarters - East (SFHQ-E) and completed the SFHQ-E - initiated Reality Based Self Defence (RBSD) course, conducted in the 23 Division premises in Punani.

Participation of Mullaittivu troops was facilitated due to a request made to that effect by Major General Dushyantha Rajaguru, Commander, Security Forces - Mullaittivu to Major General Santhusitha Pananwala, Commander, Security Forces - East who had introduced the RBSD course, a self-defence component that focuses exclusively on the ability of the soldier to face actually threatened scenarios in present and future contexts.

The passing out parade of the RBSD graduates (Course No-5) took place on Sunday (16) at the 23 Division Headquarters in the presence of Major General Dushyantha Rajaguru, Commander, Security Forces - Mullaittivu as the Chief Guest.

The expertise and professionalism of Lieutenant Colonel K.V.I.L Jayaweera of the Commando Regiment and soldiers of the 1 Commando Regiment, were instrumental in conducting the Course which qualifies them to face future security challenges.

Director General Infantry, Major General Duminda Keppetiwalana, General Officer Commanding, 22 Division, Major General Aruna Jayasekara, Commander FMA (East), Major General Manoj Mudannayaka, General Officer Commanding 24 Division Major General Mahinda Mudalige, General Officer Commanding 23 Division Brigadier Chula Abenayaka and a large gathering of Officers and Other Rankers were present at the occasion.Sport media | Men's Sneakers
