Troops of the Security Force HQ - Mullaittivu (SF-MLT) and the 59 Infantry Division HQ, aimed at promoting mental wellness and providing entertainment to ordinary citizens in the general area of Mullaittivu staged a musical fiesta along the beach patch on Saturday (30 Sept).
Rhythmic beats and melodies of Tamil and Sinhala Baila hits as well as latest popular Western ones, tuned by 12 Sri Lanka Light Infantry rhythm band, 3 Gajaba Regiment rhythm band and ‘Sath Ranga’ dancing group of the SFHQ-MLT reverberated the air for more than 3 hours during the arrangement.
Major General M.K Jayawardena RSP VSV USP ndu, Commander, SF-MLT graced the occasion as the chief guest with Major General D.K.S.K Dolage, General Officer Commanding, 59 Infantry Division, Major General M.S Devapriya USP ndc, General Officer Commanding, 64 Infantry Division, Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks and a large crowd of local music fans and spectators witnessed the spectacle.
