A group of more than 90 Officers and Other Ranks serving the 64 Infantry Division of the Security Force HQ - Mullaittivu on Sunday (15 October) volunteered to donate their blood for patients at Mullaittivu hospital on account of the 74th Army Anniversary.
Major General M.S Devapriya USP ndc, General Officer Commanding, 64 Infantry Division encouraged the conduct of the project. A medical team of 10 personnel including a specialist from the Mullaittivu hospital provided the service for the project.
90 Army personnel, representing the 641, 642, and 643 Infantry Brigades as well as the 8 Sri Lanka Artillery, 23 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment and 5 (v) Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment, voluntarily stepped forward to donate their life-saving support.
