Troops of the Security Force HQ - Mullaittivu (SFHQ-MLT) troops on Wednesday (June 07) bade farewell to their outgoing Commander, Security Forces - Mullaittivu, Major General U.D Wijesekera RWP RSP USP rcds psc arranging a formal ceremony.
At first, the outgoing Mullaittivu Commander was accorded a Guard Turnout at the entrance on arrival before he was saluted in a colourful Guard of Honour, presented by 14 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment troops. In his formal troop address, he thanked All Ranks who lent immense support to him during his tenure. Afterwards, he was invited to pose for a few group photographs.
Finally, summing up the day’s agenda, he interacted with the troops during the customary All-Rank tea arranged in the premises. General Officers Commanding, Brigade Commanders, Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks took part in the events.
