Battalion and Brigade troops under the 68 Division in the Security Force Headquarters-Mullaittivu (SFHQ-MLT) organized a Christmas celebration in the area on Thursday (25) providing snacks and gifts to the members of the general public and children.
14 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment (VIR) troops offered coffee and sweetmeats to the devotees in the Walemadam Church.
Meanwhile, troops of the 29 Sri Lanka National Guard (SLNG) provided snacks with tea to devotees and sweets and gifts to children at Siththappala Church in Vellimulliwaikkal East. A decorated lorry with Carols and the Santa Claus to entertain the people in Wellimulliwaikkal East and West.
In the meantime, 18 VIR Calypso band provided music to Carols at the Iranapalai Christian Church, performed by children. More than 700 devotees participated in it and troops provided snacks to them.
