Garuda Flight GA 9820 of Indonesia this morning (21) brought down one more batch of 109 Sri Lankan expatriates from Indonesia to Colombo on a directive given by HE the President, according to the National Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO). They all were referred to Quarantine Centres after medical examinations. Those expatriates have remained stranded in those countries for some time due to prevailing COVID-19 pandemic.
Similarly, upon completion of the quarantine process of more than 3 weeks, one more group of 82 individuals proceeded back home from the Army-managed Ampara (27), Waskaduwa Citrus (09), Jetwing Blue (06), Mount Lavinia Hotel (06) and the Navy-run Boossa (06) Quarantine Centres (QC) last evening (20) and this morning (21) after necessary medical formalities and receipt of quarantine certificates, NOCPCO.
The returnees were provided with meals and transport from the Army to their home towns in Matara and Colombo. The Commanding Officers of the QCs were there to see them off.
