The Army Physical Training Centre (APTC) at Panagoda on Friday (30 Dec) had its Passing out Parade (PoP) for Physical Training Instructors Course for Officers, Advanced Physical Training Instructor Course for Other Ranks, Assistant Physical Training Instructor Course for Other Ranks, Swimming Instructor Course for Other Ranks and award of certificates to those who qualified for NVQ Level 4, conducted by the Vocational Training Authority.
The joint event, held at the Panagoda Army Indoor Stadium on Friday (30 Dec) was attended by Major General Deepal Pussella, Commander, SF-West as the Chief Guest.
12 Officers and 203 Other Ranks were qualified as Physical Instructors while 10 Other Ranks qualified as Swimming Instructors after training for more than three months in each course.
Officers Physical Training Instructors Course No 14 (77 days), Advanced Physical Training Instructor Course No 44 (65 days), Assistant Physical Training Instructor Course No 127 (52 days) and Swimming Instructor Course No 25 (48 days) were among those Courses that were conducted at the SFHQ-West.
Colonel Rukshan Kannangara, Commandant, Army Physical Training Centre (APTC) welcomed Major General Deepal Pussella on arrival at the gymnasium.
