The 68 Division Headquarters under the Security Force HQ - Mullaittivu (SFHQ-MLT) in line with the government’s policy of vacating land property, not belonging to the State symbolically released 11 more acres of land to the Mullaittivu District Secretariat on Sunday (28) during a brief ceremony that took place at the 682 Brigade Headquarters.
The systematic release of land properties, hitherto being used for security purposes or for other essentials needs continues as advised by the government and also on the instructions of General Shavendra Silva, Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Army. Accordingly, Major General Sisira Pilapitiya, Commander, Security Forces - Mullaittivu instructed the 682 Brigade Commander, Brigadier Chaminda Galappaththi to release the said land patch, that has been used by the Security Forces.
Major General Sisira Pilapitiya, Commander, Security Forces - Mullaittivu during the brief meeting symbolically delivered documents pertaining to the land portion to the Mullaittivu District Secretary, Mr K. Wimalanathan in the presence of the invitees.

Jayakantha, Puthukkuddiyirippu Divisional Secretary, Mr Wilwalarajah, Land Officer, Puthukkuddiyirippu, Major General Keerthi Bandara, General Officer Commanding, 68 Division, Brigadier D.R.N Hettiarachchi, Commander, 681 Brigade, Brigadier Chaminda Galappaththi, Commander, 682 Brigade and Brigadier Wasantha Palamakubura, Brigadier General Staff, Security Forces - Mullaittivu graced the occasion.
