Troops of the 15 (Volunteer) Gemunu Watch of the 542 Brigade in the 54 Division under the Security Force HQ - Wanni on Sunday (23) during a search at Kunchikulam Roadblock along Mannar-Madu road apprehended a stock of 12 kg of Kerala Ganja (Cannabis) whilst being carried in a Mahendra Bolero cab.
Troops searched the cab moving from Mannar towards Dambulla on suspicion and detected the stock, hidden inside the vehicle.
The suspect in the vehicle with Cannabis was handed over to the Madu Police Station for further investigations.
These snap roadblocks are manned by the Army on the directions of the acting Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva in line with HE the President's campaign for eradication of drug menace. jordan Sneakers | Marki
