More GN Divisions Released from Isolation-NOCPCO

As of this morning (17), a total of 1,517 more persons were confirmed positive to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. Among them, 71 were Sri Lankan expatriates. The rest 1,446 were locally-identified positive cases, including the majority 252 from Colombo District, 232 from Gampaha District, 153 from Kalutara District and 809 others from different other Districts, states the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).

By this morning (17), a total of 282,059 persons have been confirmed positive to COVID-19 from all over the country, including the dead. Among them, 173,544 were reported after the New Year.

By Saturday (17) morning (past 24 hours), 918 recovered patients have left Intermediate Care Centers and Hospitals. On 15 July, 41 more deaths have been reported including 23 males and 18 females.

As of this morning (17), 4,909 persons in 71 hotels and tri service-managed QCs are still in quarantine. By Saturday (17) morning, 221 persons have left 22 QCs after completion of their quarantining process.

The latest GN Divisions that were released from isolation this morning (17) are Madeyiyawa village in Mihipitiya GN Division in Kegalle District, Upper section of Maluwagala in Kiriella Police division in Ratnapura District, Marathamunai-Phase 3 in Kalmunai Police Division, Vihara lane, Vihara Mawatha, Kappara Palliya Mawatha, Welameda Paragama in Sudhumpola west in Kandy Police division and Vihara lane, Vihara Mawatha and Kappara Palliya Mawatha in Suduhumpola east.
