6 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment (VIR) troops in the 221 Brigade of the 22 Division organized a shramadana campaign in Kallampaththu Kovil premises in Thiriyaya and distributed school accessories among 18 children of Pipena Kekulu pre-school in Gomarankadawala, Morawewa on Sunday (30) .
Meanwhile, two more shramadana campaigns were organized by the 27 Sri Lanka National Guard (SLNG) troops in the 222 Brigade of the 22 Division to clean the Amman Kovil premises at Anathive and Naaga Kovil in Karakamunei during December 1-2.
During the same period, 11SLNG troops of the 242 Brigade of 24 Divsion launched a ‘Dengue Prevention Campaign’ at Akkarepaththu area. Meanwhile, 8 SLNG troops of the 232 Brigade of 23 Division distributed thunder flash instruments, meant to drive away wild elephants among the Villagers of Perillaweli on Tuesday (02).
