The annual Athletic Championship of the Security Force Headquarters - Kilinochchi (SFHQ-KLN) was held at the Central College grounds in Kilinochchi during 20 - 21 October with the participation of battalions under the SFHQ-KLN and relay teams representing schools in the area.
The event was organized and conducted under the guidance of Major General Vijitha Ravipriya, Commander, Security Forces - Kilinochchi.
It was aimed to tap hidden sport talents of the soldiers and elevate them to suit national and international standards.
More than 300 athletes, comprised of Officers and Other Ranks serving in all the formations in the SFHQ-KLN competed during the tournament.
Towards the end of the final day, the Commander, Security Forces - Kilinochchi, as the Chief Guest awarded trophies, certificates and medals to the competitors who excelled during the meet. The overall championship went to the 57 Division while the 65 Division secured the runners-up in the meet.
