14 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment troops under command to the 641 Infantry Brigade of the 64 Infantry Division of the Security Force Headquarters-Mullaitivu with sponsorship received from Venerable Boralasgamuwa Seelarathana Thero distributed 50 free dry ration packs among needy families, resident in Manna Kandaal, Peraaru, Kula Murrippu and Kaluwara Kandaal Grama Sewa Divisions on Sunday (20).
The community-oriented programme was meant to provide relief to their livelihoods and promote goodwill between members of the Security Forces and the general public.
Brigadier Janak Jayawardena, Commander, 641 Infantry Brigade, Lieutenant Colonel Palitha Herath, Civil Coordination Officer, 641 Infantry Brigade, Major R.M.N.L. Raajanayake, Officiating Commanding Officer of 14 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment and several Other Rank were present at the location.
