Monks & Daham School Students in Welikanda Given Dry Rations

Monks and students at Welikanda area, thanks to an initiative of the Security Force HQ - East (SFHQ - E) were the recipients of free dry ration packets on Sunday (18) with sponsorship, extended by the ‘Guna Jaya Sathuta Padanama’ of Mr Kushil Gunasekara.

Under the guidelines and supervision of the Commander, Security Forces - East, Major General Priyantha Jayawardane, SFHQ-E troops organized the distribution at the Kadawathmaduwa Historic Temple at Welikanda where milk powder packets, biscuits and other essentials to the value of Rs 1 lakh were distributed among Daham School students and resident monks.

Major General Priyantha Jayawardane, Commander, SF-E attended as the Chief Guest and the project was coordinated by Lieutenant Colonel Prabhath Halpage, Civil Coordinating Officer of the SFHQ - E.

Several Officers and representatives of the donor agency took part in the distribution ceremony.
