The first Unit Recruit Course, conducted at Periyakadu Mechanized Infantry Regiment (MIR) Training School culminated on Friday (21) in compliance with the MIR's annual training programme.
The Course began on 01 September was followed by 110 recruits during which they were exposed to the role and tasks of the MIR.
At the invitation of Colonel Nalin Prabath, Commandant, MIR Training School, Brigadier Kavinda Balasooriya, Commander, MIR Brigade joined the winding-up ceremony and awarded certificates to the recruits as the Chief Guest.
Chief Instructor, Instructors, Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks joined the awarding ceremony.
