During a recent routine visit to the Sri Lanka Army Combat Convoy Company (LKACCC) Contingent, the Force Commander - MINUSMA, Lieutenant General Dennis Gyllensporre, appreciated tasks, being performed by the LKACCC.
Further, the Force Commander said he was amazed to see how LKACCC executes its assigned tasks amidst deteriorating security situation and moving thorough areas where the enemy is ever intensifying its all efforts and activities in different forms to interfere with MINUSMA realizing its mission.
In addition, he highlighted that he was surprised in what manner LKACCC executed and accomplished its Convoy Escort Operations with no harm and dedicated service to the United Nations since deployment in 2017 while securing the lives of the civilians and vehicles including UN consignments.
The Contingent Commander, LKACCC, Lieutenant Colonel Dinesh Bulathsinghala apprised the Force Commander on the duties and tasks performed by the contingent.
