The SLA's annual mega show, organized for the 7th time was held on a grand scale with the collaboration of the Sri Lanka Association for Racing Drivers and Riders (SLARDR) and was flagged off by the Chief Guest as the clock struck 9.00 a.m. at the invitation of Major General J. C. Rambukpotha, Colonel Commandant of SLA Regiment.

2 Championships and 20 other events separately for Motor Cars and Motor Cross Bikes attracted the mammoth gathering of spectators throughout the day, including a special contest for under 16 riders. CC 1000, CC 125 and less than CC3000 categories grabbed the rapt attention of the massive crowd enjoying the day's event.

Major General Rambukpotha presented a cheque, worth Rs 75 lakhs to the Chief Guest in the presence of Mrs Manjulika Jayasuriya, who is one of the livewires behind the ‘Brave Hearts’ project.

Reminding the gathering of the SVAB services to the SLA War Heroes with the funds collected from the last year’s ‘Supercross’, Mrs Jayasuriya presented seven replicas of the houses the SVAB built to the War Heroes who were present.

The overall Championships of the day were secured by Aravinda Premadasa (Motor Car Championship) and C. S. Santhush (Motor Cycle Championship).
