Many More LTTE Arms &;amp; Ammo Collected

MALLAITTIVU & KILINOCHCHI: ARMY troops continued their search and clear operations in the newly captured areas on Sunday (19). During those search and clear operations in the general areas of VISUAMADU, SINNAVILLU, PUTHUKKUDIYIRUPPU East and MUDALYARKULAM, troops recovered seventy-eight hand grenades, fourteen T-56 weapons, six T-56 magazines, four thousand seven hundred and fifty rounds of T-56 ammunition, five thousand rounds of Multi Purpose Machine Gun (MPMG) ammunition, sixteen 60 mm mortar bombs, one  trapped gun, one shot gun, twenty-seven anti personnel mines, forty-seven Rocket Propelled Grenades (RPG), five Rocket Propelled Grenade (RPG) chargers, six claymore mines, twenty-six paddle gun drums, forty rounds paddle gun ammunition, thirty-seven LTTE made Arul bombs, 5 kg TNT high explosives, four I-com communication sets, ten antennas, six 60 mm mortar fuses, seven unidentified fuses, one suicide jacket, one dipole antenna, one LTTE jungle cap, three LTTE uniforms, one pouch and three helmets.
 
In the meantime, troops operating in KILINOCHCHI conducted search operations in the general areas of KOKAVIL, AMPAKAMAM and THERUMURUKANDY areas and recovered three water tanks, two parts of a communication tower, one I-com communication  set, one hand grenade, one T-56 magazine, three belt orders, two pouches and twelve anti personnel mines on the same day (19).
