Kids learning at Manning Town ‘Viru Kekulu’ pre-school showed their sports skills and aesthetic talents during their annual Sports Meet at Manning Town ‘Viru Kekulu’ preschool on Wednesday (28 June).
Mrs. Janaki Liyanage, President, Army Seva Vanitha Unit (ASVU) attended the inauguration of the event as the Chief Guest, together with several ASVU members. The Chief Guest was warmly welcomed by the kids on her arrival at the location offering bouquets of flowers.
All the kids joyfully participated in different features, sports activities, such as Fun with Flowers, Sack Race, Riley, Rolling game, Feed the Shark Game, We Go Zing Zag, Basketball Game, Fancy Dress, Hi Honey Bunny game, etc during the meet.
The event was jointly arranged by Mrs. Nandani Samarakoon, Chairperson, Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers Seva Vanitha Branch and the one in charge of the Manning Town ‘Viru Kekulu’ pre-school, Mrs. Prashanthi Chandrasena, Second-in-charge at Manning Town ‘Viru Kekulu’ pre-school, parents of children and teachers of the pre-school.
The day’s event was filled with fun and a separate drill and band display added colour to the programme. The Chief Guest gave away prizes for the kids who participated in the day’s events.
Senior Officers, Senior ASVU members, Officers, preschool teachers, parents and kids were associated with the occasion.
