Major General W.H.M. Manatunga (Rtd) of the Gemunu Watch passed away this morning (21 Mar) due to a brief illness at the Colombo Army Hospital, Narahenpita. He was 59 years old at the time of his demise.
His remains are now lying at the Mahinda Panagoda Funeral Parlour, Thalangama. His funeral with full military honours, will take place on Sunday (24 Mar) at Borella General Cemetery new crematorium at 5.30 pm.
