One Officer and fifteen Other Ranks of the 14 Battalion Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment of the 142 Infantry Brigade provided their lecture assistance to conduct a workshop on 'map reading' for the Cadets at Colombo Mahanama College on 19 April 2023 following a request made to the Army by college authorities.
The workshop consisted of lectures as well as practical sessions focusing on basic map-reading, introduction of maps, use of the 'Silva Compass', etc. The Commander, Security Forces -West gave his blessings to the project.
