Troops serving in the Army Training School (ATS) at Maduruoya at the request of Buddhist monks provided their technical and engineering expertise for construction of the new Dhamma school building at Maduruoya Kandegama Dananjaya Raja Maha Viharaya during 24 January -23 February.
The building for conduct of Dhamma classes, a long felt need in this historic temple was constructed with raw materials provided by the temple and laymen, attached to the temple. Troops within one month completed the construction and left it with the monks amidst religious blessings and inaugural rites and rituals.
Major General Senaka Kasthuriarachchi, Commandant ATS with several Officers offered their guidance for completion of the project.
