VAVUNIYA: THE first MADHU festival after the heroic troops liberated the north and east from the clutches of LTTE terrorists began on a grand scale on Saturday (8) with the arrival of 1071 pilgrims to the Holy Church.
Those pilgrims consisted of 481 males, 368 females, 132 girls and 90 boys. They came on 68 light vehicles and 20 heavy vehicles. Security Forces facilitated them to enter the MADHU area.
