Troops serving in the 22 Division in Trincomalee area under the guidance of their General Officer Commanding, Major General Sanath Aluvihare gave away 175 lunch packs to needy families in Welgamvehera and beggars in the Trincomalee town on Monday (3).
Troops in groups delivered those cooked meal packets to most deserving categories by reaching them separately. Businessmen in the area sponsored the cost for the project.
The community programme was organized strictly adhering to health guidelines.
