LTTE Claymore Hits Jaffna Houses

SELF-CLAIMED so-called (LTTE) liberators of Tamil people, mostly moving about in the JAFFNA peninsula in the guise of Tamil civilians pay scant regard to the lives or property of civilians.

Terrorists last Friday night (26th October) at about 9.00 p.m. triggered a claymore mine strapped to a wayside tree near PUMMANAKULAM junction, ARIYALE when an Army bus was on its way to the ARIYALE Army camp from KANKESANTURAI.

The explosion injured two civilians, S. BALAKRISHNAN and B. ANOJAN of No 304, Kandy Road, ARIYALE in addition to the two houses damaged, all glass window panes shattered and broken (See Photos) in the claymore explosion.

Inmates of the houses damaged as a result of the LTTE explosion had reached the troops and requested their help for renovation of their houses.

The incident has led to public protest and ridicule because the very people who are proclaiming to be liberators are hell-bent on destroying property of Tamil civilians while committing criminal acts not only against members of the Armed Forces but also against the Tamil community.
