Lectures Conducted to Refresh Memories of Unmatched Sacrifices

The Directorate of Psychological Operations with the aim of enhancing the knowledge of ‘Military literature’ among the troops conducted a series of lectures during the month of December at Battalion Training School in Katukeliyawa, Sri Lanka Signal Corps Regimental Headquarters, Sri Lanka Army Service Corps Training School in Tisawewa and at Mechanized Infantry Regiment Training School at Manik Farm.

The lectures were conducted by Lieutenant Colonel E.A.A Sujith Chaminda, the Chief Editor of the ‘Ranaviruwa’ magazine of the Directorate of Psychological Operations in the Army.

The lecturer outlined the unmatched and numerous sacrifices of true sons of the motherland during the wars, although battlefield memories are fast fading, forgetful of priceless moments and their invaluable sacrifices. The lecturer has also compiled impressive pieces of works, based on the Sri Lankan War that added military literature to the Sri Lanka Army.
