Another thrilling motor racing event, Walawe Super Cross-2011 with exciting racing car and motorbike events, scheduled for 19th and 20th November at Udawalawa Army Super Cross Track, Sevanagala, Udawalawa, is to send shock waves among motor racing fans as this mammoth project is to draw a large gathering of local and foreign competitors in driving and riding.
Announcing the arrangements for the grand event during a media briefing on Tuesday (8) in Colombo, organizers Sri Lanka Electrical & Mechanical Engineering Regiment of the Sri Lanka Army outlined the objective of holding a mega event of this nature.
‘Funds generated by this event go to welfare roles, meant for injured War Heroes, family members of fallen and missing War Heroes and further improvement of infrastructure facilities’.
‘Walawe Super Cross-2011 organized in close coordination with the Sri Lanka Motor Cycle Club (SLMCC) and Sri Lanka Army Motor Sports Committee consists of motorbike events for child riders. The Udawalawa Racing Track also provides thrill and excitement to six motor car events.’
Organizes of ‘Walawe Super Cross - 2011’ is taking every effort to make this a grand event in the annual Motor Sports Calendar.
A model Air Craft display scheduled to be held at this event will bring more attraction to the event.
