A 20-member delegation, headed by Mr D. Mukerji, Senior Vice President, Lanka IOC PLC paid a courtesy call on the Commandant at the Army School of Logistics (ASL) in Trincomalee on 14 November.
The Commandant, Brigadier Menaka Fernando received the representative group of delegates and had a cordial interaction with them. The Chief Instructor Colonel Tharanga Silva made the opening and welcome remarks.
Afterwards, the Senior Instructor Training Team 1, Lieutenant Colonel M. S. R. Mohomad conducted a presentation on the role and tasks of the ASL, its history, current roles and assignments with a view to updating the visitors on the organization.
The courtesy call culminated with a token of appreciation, presented by the delegation to the Commandant, ASL as a symbol of goodwill. The Chief Instructor, Senior Instructor Training Team 1, and Permanent Staff at the ASL participated in the event.
