KLN Commander Makes Formal Visit to 4 (V) SLAWC Camp

The Commander, Security Forces Kilinochchi, Major General Harendra Ranasinghe recently made a formal field visit to the 4 (V) Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps camp in Kilinochchi.

He was welcomed by the Commanding officer of 4 (V) SLAWC Lieutenant Colonel S. Silva and invited to plant a sapling in the camp premises as a symbol of memory. Afterwards, a comprehensive briefing on role & tasks of the Battalion, conducted by the Commanding Officer 4 (V) SLAWC, enlightened him.

The visiting Commander SF-KLN watched the camp premises later on and inspected it before he addressed a selected group of troops, adhering to all epidemic preventive measures.

Further, he stressed the need of improve their professional competencies through the constant training to develop the skills of performing multiple task of the soldiers to face the future security challenges of the nation and appreciated the commitment and dedication to uplift the image of woman soldiers.

Brigadier Admin and Quartering Brigadier Deepal Hathurusinghe, and other Senior Staff Officers at the Security Force Headquarters Kilinochchi also participated in the visit.
