On a suggestion, made by the Commander Security Forces - Kilinochchi (SF-KLN), Major General Sampath Kotuwegoda, 6 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment troops under command to the 57 Division and the 572 Brigade troops organized the 'Harmony Cricket Tournament-2020' in order to promote cohesion and sportsmanship among talented youth of civil sports clubs residing in the area.
Accordingly, the tournament started on 12 September at Vishwamadu School playground with the participation of 25 teams of the Kilinochchi and 3 teams representing the Sri Lanka Army.
Out of 28 teams participating, Vinayagar Sports Club and Dharmapuram Sports Club were selected for the finals. After a neck to neck competition Dharmapuram Sports Club emerged as Champions in the ‘Harmony Cricket Tournament - 2020’ and carried away the Championship.
The Commander Security Forces - Kilinochchi graced the finals as the Chief Guest. General Officer Commandings of 57 and 65 Divisions, Brigade Commanders, Commanding Officers, senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks and civilians also took part in the awarding ceremony.Sport media | Nike Shoes, Sneakers & Accessories
