Officer-In-Charge of all Police Stations, Special Task Force, Grama Niladari Division Officers, Religious Leaders, School Principals and many other relevant government authorities, including civilians in the general area of Kilinochchi assembled on Tuesday (18) at the 57 Division HQ premises and discussed ways and means of promoting security networks and maintaining of law and order in their respective areas.
Major General B.P.S de Silva, the General Officer Commanding 57 Division invited them and chaired the assembly. All shared their concerns and views with one another and highlighted the significance of such dialogues once in a way.
Participants came forward with new ideas in order to uplift the living standards of the people in Kilinochchi, and wanted security, peace and harmony be maintained all the time and be alert to illegal activities in the area.
