Specialist Cardiologist, Dr Vivek Gupta of the Asiri Group of Hospitals responded positively to the request, projected by the 122 Brigade of 12 Division under the Security Force Headquarters - Central (SFHQ-C) and assisted conduct of a mobile clinic to screen cardiac patients in Kataragama area on Sunday (6).
More than 400 civilians, together with some members of the clergy received consultations from the clinic, organized at Kavantissapura Vidyalaya, Kataragama.
Towards the end of the clinic Dr Gupta, an Indian national who has earlier also assisted the Army for such mobile clinics, donated a monetary contribution of Rs 30,000/= towards development of the music band of Kavantissapura Vidyalaya.
Major General U.A.B Medawela, Commander, SFHQ-C, General Officer Commanding, 12 Division, 122 Brigade Commander, principals and teachers also took part in the project.
