At the request of the Army, Directress of ‘Pathmahansa’ Public Service Project, Mr Loku Balasooriya, Coordinator of Old Boys Association of Royal College - Colombo and Alumni Association of the University of Sri Jayawardenapura jointly provided dry ration packets to families living in the general area of Kanagarayankulam on 10 June 2021.
Major General Saman Liyanage, General Officer Commanding of the 56 Division instructed the Army troops of the 561 Brigade to organize the project under the close supervision of Brigadier Priyanga Kulathilaka, Brigade Commander of the 561 Brigade. The General Officer Commanding, 56 Division as the Chief Guest with the 561 Brigade Commander, Civil Affairs Officer of the 561 Brigade, Officers and Other Ranks.
