Troops of the 4 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment of the 521 Infantry Brigade of the 52 Infantry Division under the Security Force HQ - Jaffna contributed their workforce to the renovation and reconstruction of the Government's Tamil Mixed School in Chunnale (South) and vested it in the students on 21 August.
The General Officer Commanding, 52 Infantry Division, Major General Y.A.M.B Yahampath RWP RSP ndu psc was there to formally inform the completion of those repairs and renovations of the school.
The 4 Battalion Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment in coordination with the ‘Vanni Aid Canada’ organization's financial assistance re-constructed and repaired all dilapidated buildings, sanitary facilities, staff rest room, main entrance, water tank and the perimeter wall of the school before attending to the landscaping.
Government Officials, parents, students and local residents participated in the occasion and appreciated the commitment of the Army.
