Jaffna Troops to Erect One More New House for a Needy Family with Donor's Support

During a brief ceremony organized by 513 Brigade troops on Friday (19), Commander Security Forces - Jaffna Major General Priyantha Perera laid the foundation stone for construction of a new house for Mrs. R. Amudapriya and her family in Sangarathai, Jaffna amidst religious customs after learning about her plight with children.

The reputed donor, Mr. Kumara Weerasooriya will provide financial cost of the materials for construction work at the request of the Commander, Security Forces - Jaffna. 11 Sri Lanka Light Infantry troops under the supervision of the Commander 513 Brigade will provide much-needed manpower and technical expertise for the construction work. After the foundation-stone laying, the Commander Security Forces Jaffna distributed a dry ration pack and school items to the children of the beneficiary.

General Officer Commanding 51 Division, Commanders of 511, 513 and 515 Brigades, Senior Officers, Divisional Secretary - Chankanai, Government Officials and Tri Forces and Police Ex-servicemen living in Jaffna and troops of the Security Force Jaffna were also present during this ceremony.
