Jaffna Troops Coordinate Mobile Eye Clinic and Give Away Spectacles

In response to a request made by Major General Darshana Hettiarachchi, Commander, Security Forces - Jaffna (SF-J), the Lions Club of Enderamulla donated a stock of spectacles to the needy people in Jaffna during an Eye Clinic organized by the Security Force Headquarters – Jaffna (SFHQ-J) at the Palaly base hospital premises, Jaffna on Sunday (10).

The brief ceremony followed a previous eye clinic which selected 159 visually impaired people out of 363 patients who came for clinic.

The SFHQ-J expects to facilitate arrangements to undergo a cataract surgery if required at the Lions’ Golden Jubilee Eye Hospital in Kadawatha.

Several other Lion members of Enderamulla Lions club, and Army Officers attended this event.
