Inter-Unit Basketball Tournament 2024 Organized by SLAC

Sri Lanka Armoured Corps (SLAC) organized Inter-Unit Basketball Tournament-2024 at the Basketball Court, Rock House Camp on 27 March 2024. In a thrilling final, the 5th Reconnaissance Regiment emerged victorious over the 4th Armoured Regiment to claim the Inter-Unit Basketball Championship.

Major General S.W.M. Fernando WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc, the Commander, Security Forces - West and the Colonel Commandant of SLAC, graced the event as the chief guest.

The tournament which commenced on 26 March 2024, featured six competitive teams. The 4 SLAC secured the 1st runners up position, while the 3 SLAC achieved the 2nd runners up position.

In line with the guidance of the Commander of the Army, a special recognition was given during the award ceremony. Lance Corporal J.D.D.G. Madusanka was awarded Rs. 30,000 to appreciate and encourage his outstanding achievements at the international and national levels in Kabaddi.

Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks were also present during the event.
