The Inter Division Badminton Tournament-2016 of the Army was held at the Sports complex, 56 Division, Kokkeliya, Vavuniya on Tuesday (01).
Security Force Headquarters-Wanni, together with 21, 54, 56, 61, 62 Divisions, Forward Maintenance Area-North Central (FMA-N/C), 2(Volunteer) and 4 (Volunteer) Women's Corps, battled out for the championship in the tussel.
56 Division players emerged Champions whilst FMA-N/C players were the runners up.
Former Commander, Security Forces-Wanni, Major General Boniface Perera graced the occasion as the chief guest of the day’s event.
The Commander, FMA-N/C, all General Officers Commanding, Brigade Commanders, Senior Officers, Officers and a large number of Other Ranks attended the closing ceremony.
