A delegation from India's High Defence Management Course (HDMC), led by Commodore Sunil Kumar, Head of the Department of the Indian Naval Academy, currently on a five-days overseas study tour (OST) (05 - 09 February) as part of the course curriculum, called at the Army Headquarters on Monday (05 February) to pay courtesies to the Chief of Staff (COS), Major General W.H.K.S Peiris RWP RSP VSV USP ndu.
During the cordial interactive meeting with the visiting delegation, Major General W.H.K.S Peiris RWP RSP VSV USP ndu shared views on training modules, particularly in the HDMC, and the importance of exchanging experiences with neighboring military organizations. COS further requested more opportunities for Sri Lankan Officers to follow the HDMC course.
Towards the end of the cordial meeting, the COS and Commodore Sunil Kumar exchanged mementos as symbols of goodwill.
Brigadier P.K.S Nandana RSP USP psc, Director, Directorate of Training, Captain M Ananda Defense Advisor at High Commission of India in Colombo also participated in the discussion.
