Indian High Commission’s Assistant Defence Advisor Calls at SFHQ - J

Lieutenant Colonel Puneet Sushil, Assistant Defence Advisor to the High Commission of India in Sri Lanka during a visit to the Wanni and the Northern region made a courtesy visit to the Security Force Headquarters Jaffna (SFHQ- J) and met the Jaffna Commander on Wednesday (29 March 2023).

The Assistant Defence Advisor was warmly welcomed by Major General Swarna Bothota, Commander, Security Forces -Jaffna on arrival at the Commander’s office. Both the Commander SF- J and the visiting Lieutenant Colonel Puneet Sushil afterwards had a cordial discussion. He was also given a briefing on the present role of the SFHQ- J in the Jaffna peninsula with focus on ongoing reconciliation projects in the peninsula.

After the cordial interaction, Lieutenant Colonel Puneet Sushil added memories leaving compliments in the Visitors’ Book at the SFHQ-J. Towards the end, mementos were also exchanged as tokens of appreciation.

Prior to his exit, Lieutenant Colonel Puneet Sushil paid tribute to the memory of fallen IPKF War Heroes by placing floral wreaths at the IPKF Monument in a brief and solemn ceremony.
